Cat hates this years Friskies esp this gravy slop

My cats loves many of last years flavors but the new line ups especially now do not like the Shreds, Gravy and Most yellow cans now. Wild turkey and Salmon are the most hated flavors. Too much mixing species and surfnturf just is not right for cats - cants dont want tuna and beef mixed!

    filets

The filets are cut in sizes fit for a Mountain Lion. My cats leave all the big chunks because they can't cut them up with their teeth and would choke on them. They need to be smaller chunks.

    Stripe loves gravy

I thought I would give this a try since my stripe kitty loves to lick all the gravy off his food. Well he loves it. I refer to extra gravy as kitty soup because is gravy with chunks. Next flavor please make DUCK extra gravy chunky.

SOMETHING IS *** SERIOUSLY WRONG ***

When cats -- obligate carnivores -- will NOT eat the "meat" in cat food, and merely lick some gravy, cat guardians/parents/lovers (and whatever else people with cats call themselves) should be concerned and COMPLAIN. The increasing amounts of gravy substituting for the MEAT cats need is not something consumers should welcome or believe this is precisely what their cats need. I have noticed for at least the past several years that my cats first started eating less and less of the so-called "meat" and eventually only licked the gravy. I became bothered over the amount of waste and accompanying cost involved with essentially non-touched food. I had as many as seven cats and currently have four "gravy-lickers" remaining. Like many of the previous reviewers, I initially started looking for canned cat food that had more gravy so that my cats would eat enough and seem to like it. When the "gravy lovers" varieties became available, I bought them and still do. BUT I AM BOTHERED BY THIS AND WANT MY CATS TO EAT THE MEAT THAT THEY REQUIRE. More gravy is NOT the answer, and I think Friskies and other cat food manufacturers need to get back to basics and make a cat food that cats will eat, not leave after licking some gravy. There may be some value in offering certain nutricious gravies occasionally for senior cats and perhaps post-dental surgery cats while recooperating, but gravy should not constitute a cat's daily meal/diet or preference. I strongly believe that if cats will not eat the cat food -- but lick the gravy -- the cat food is inadequate for obligate carnivores. The conclusion seems obvious: Friskies (as well as others) must improve the quality of their cat foods, which means adding MEAT, not more and more gravy. Our cats are depending on this, and we should not settle for less.

    Something changed

I have 6 cats & have used wet food for years. Something has changed & not for the better. The food smells bad. 1/2 cats won't eat & other 1/2 do t finish. I hope you go back to old recipe. We are shopping for new food - sorry.

    MIXED EMOTIONS

My cat ONLY ever will/does eat one flavor -the Turkey with Gravy Filets...but now its changed - she sniffs and walks away. I bought the new 'extra gravy turkey' and she hesitated but then did lick some of the gravy but that's it! Never eats chunks and let alone all. I agree with the chemical smell !!!--- I'm smelling it more and more..no matter which store I purchase the cans. Sometimes changes aren't good! Especially with flavors you know are popular. And I know the Turkey with Gravy Filets was/is popular. My cat is bummed and more hungry now ! Quality and Taste ARE DECLINING
