Friskies Explorer CandieBears asks:
I'm pregnant, and my kitty already gets jealous. He's only nice when you feed him (hes not mean.. but stuck up, if you give him an auto feeder) and he's nice to the person feeding him. That being said, I know he gets jealous and I'm nervous with being pregnant.. How can I make sure when I have the baby... he doesn't go completely nuts, and not deal with any of us?
Pam’s answer:
I promise, he’s not jealous. It sounds as though he might be a bit confused. Are you playing with him and giving him attention? Try using a fishing pole-type toy. Conduct a play session with him and then give him a treat or a portion of his meal afterward. This way he’ll get a reward for his work. He’ll also learn to associate you with his good time.
