Cat Singin’ the Blues

It’s hard to believe that “someone” who sleeps a majority of the day and spends his waking hours playing and/or eating could experience mood swings, but it happens.
Yes,I’m talking about my cat. And occasionally – just like anyone else – he gets moody. He’ll do things he’s not supposed to do (like jump up on the kitchen counter – which he knows is a no-no), let out a few pathetic meows and basically refuse to play. It doesn’t happen frequently or last long, but when it does I always wonder what caused it. Is he not feeling well? Did something make him mad? Is he just not in a good mood? Either way, I much prefer him when he’s his normal, happy self.
Does your cat ever get moody? If so, how does her behavior change?
