Explorer Spotlight: Janis1 & Milo

Cats have the uncanny ability of turning almost anything into a toy. Take Milo, for example. According to Friskies Explorer Janis1, one of Milo’s favorite things to do is play fetch with wadded up receipts.
Milo is a 4-year-old Natural Mink Tonkinese who – other than playing fetch – loves resting in the sunroom, sitting on people’s laps and hanging out with his friend Heidi the German Shepherd. Here’s what Friskies Explorer Janis1 had to say about him:
How did you and Milo first meet?
In Oct. 2009, we had to put our dear cat of 17 years, Tasman, to sleep. A couple weeks later we were walking around our local Petsmart and they had a few cats from the local shelter. Milo (named Nature Boy at that time) was lying there waiting for us. We asked to see him and 15 minutes later we were out the door with him heading home.
How did you come up with the name Milo?
Since they had him labeled as a Chocolate Point Siamese where we adopted him, we were thinking about chocolate things on the way home with him. My husband is from New Zealand and Milo is a brand of hot chocolate over there. He gets a new nickname all the time. I call him Mi-Tai and Cat quite a lot. He likes being talked to so he doesn't seem to care what you call him.
If Milo was on an island and could only have 3 things, what would they be?
Wadded up bits of paper, his cardboard scratchy box and his soft sleeping blanket.
What are 3 words that best describe Milo?
Unique, involved and endearing
What is Milo’s favorite Friskies flavor?
He likes the Selects Indoor moist cans. Not sure if he has a favorite, but I think he tends to favor the beef-flavored ones.
