The Magnificently Flexible Cat

Every cat lover knows: Cats are fantastically flexible. I’m always amazed at the tight spots they not only get into, but then turn around and get comfy in. How do they fold up like that?
It turns out that the bones in their backs are rather loosely connected. There’s a lot of cartilage between the bones, and it’s a much more pliable cartilage than we have. So they can curl their backs up or to the side much further than we can. They also have more vertebrae in their little spines than humans.
On top of that (literally), their skin is pretty baggy. So they can double over or curl into a ball without any resistance.
What does your flexible cat do to amaze you?
